While conducting research on the misty and mysterious English moors, Randi is attacked and bitten by a werewolf. Now cursed to transform into a bloodthirsty werewolf during every full moon, the two must find a way to save her. Follow their adventures from London to L.A. as they search for a cure, battle supernatural forces and the romantic feelings they have for one another.

From what I can remember about this failure of a television series was that it could never settle-down and decide if it was going to be serious or funny.

The fact is…it was supposed to be serious, but turned-out so badly that they decided to laugh along with the audience and make in tongue-in-cheek.

The ending has the two leads turning into bunnies…right?

    Or did I dream that?

I’ve tried to “bury” this in my memory cells.

    Nice “Box Art”, though.

    Where’s “DARK SKIES’” box set?

We get this crap and no “DARK SKIES”?

I discovered this show on my own back in the mid 1990′s when it was shown on the then very new Sci-Fi channel. I “got it” right away and managed to video tape the entire series. A few years ago I transferred it to my DVR. For the past fifteen years I’ve asked a number of sci-fi loving acquantances and friends if they’d ever heard of a series called “She Wolf of London” and the answer has always been “Huh?” or “Uh…nope”, and I started to wonder if I was the only person in the world who appreciated this show and had preserved it for posterity.

Well, with the advent of the Internet I discovered a smattering of souls out there who “got it” just the way I did, and had their VHS tape collections too. So, I at least knew I wasn’t totally alone, but I never really thought this show would be out on DVD.

My wife and I recently got so desperate for some smart sci-fi type of show to watch together that I suggested we watch the pilot episode off my DVR, and it brought back memories of just how unique and fun this show really was. I decided to check if at long last it might be out on a genuine legitimate commercial DVD, and low and behold here it is! AOOOOOOWWWWW!!

I especially liked the last few episodes that take place in LA. Here, the show becomes a comedy spoof of the supernatural. We’ve got our heroes trapped in a genuine old werewolf type movie, a renegade cupid who shoots arrows to get people to break up, vampires who run a law firm, molemen who don’t get cable TV, etc. It’s like the people making the show knew that they were doomed so they decided to have as much fun as they could doing goofy stuff.

Anyway, I hope a new generation of sci-fi/horror fans get to see this show. Hint for enjoyment: have a sense of humor and don’t expect it to be more than it was meant to be. The characters are endearing, have chemistry, and Kate Hodge was as cutiful a leading lady as there ever was. Enjoy.

With Buffy the Vampire Slayer series come and gone to DVD so long ago this set was long over due for release. At favorite when it aired and all 20 episodes right at your viewing. The only thing bad I can think of for this series is that its airing run was far too short. The series deals with a collage student who travels to London after a boyfriend break up only to fall for her hunky young professor and even get a place to stay in her teacher’s family’s boarding house. Both the professor and student’s plans to prove the legends and myths of the world fake once and for all is turned upside down when the young lady is bitten by a were wolf and turned into one now. Suddenly they find that not only werewolves are real, but bog men, Succubi and all sorts of super natural beings ones never though really existed. The series goes from being She-Wolf In London to Love and Curses when the co stars move from London to America’s California coast and go from investigating the supernatural to hosting their own paranormal talk show. With a L.A witch’s pizza place and problems with the U.S. Government things are anything but normal for the she wolf and her live in lover. Especially since his very touch brings out the beast in her.

Well,I was half way though transfering my old scifi vhs to dvd when this came out. While I was really happy to get this, I was also somewhat dissapointed that the begining theme was “NOT” the she wolf of london theme, but the horrible “love and curses” one which should not come untill later. Also, the video transfer was very washed out and grainy at times. This was clearly shot on film since you can see the imperfections at times. Some scenes are very clear, and some are grainy, or washed out or wayy to much contrast blooming durring some outdoor daytime scenes. It would have been nice to see this little gem treated better. A comentary from the stars would have been nice too. (Neil D would make a great dr. who btw). But I guess beggars can’t be choosers. At least it was a decent price.

I love this show! Always have. It’s so great that it’s finally getting a dvd release. I can finally put my VHS copies to rest. Bravo!
