After watching Greater Tuna, one will realize that the thought process of a whole culture is on display, openly and at times, embarassingly so. The slightly lower than middle class families portraid in this video reveal all the religous and superstitious ideas held by those who choose to let a religous body do their thinking for them. The laughter generated by this presentation will be genuine and at times giving one the feeling of sacrelidge……but laugh you will. The most incedible realization will be the fact that two men and only two men played the parts of every character in the video…..One will see Texas from perhaps the lower end of the social scale….enjoy…

This DVD was purchased for my husband who absolutely loves Joe Sears and Jaston Williams. We both first saw this hirlarious team on HBO when it first came out in the 80′s. My husband and I both couldn’t wait for their second show. With that said, since we both enjoyed the first show so much, I decided to get the original DVD for a Christmas present. I was not happy with the presentation or quality of the DVD version. It was not like we remember it being when it was shown on HBO. What a disappointment. We will now only see this “Texas Town Toddies Duo” LIVE on stage–so much of the humurous glamour was lost from stage to DVD. What a shame!!!

We just saw the fourth installment, Tuna Does Vegas. To Greater Tuna fans, its a delight to see these characters again and the show is at least as funny as any of the other shows.
Wish a proper production for DVD of all these shows were possible, but we’ll take what we can get.
