Obviously I haven’t bought or seen this DVD set yet, as it’s not available until March 2010. However, I watch the series on the USA network and know it comprises 15 episodes. Unless unreleased episodes or footage is part of this DVD set, $37.49 is very expensive for 15 episodes. That’s more expensive than for many other DVD sets with more episodes of more popular shows.

I still enjoy this show and the great characters. Season 2 had a nice progression from season 1 and had many great episodes. Great cinematography, great acting.
However, for me, some of the stories (scripts) didn’t “sizzle” like in season 1. What I mean by that is that too many scripts deal with Mary and her inner circle drama, (mother, sister, boyfriend issues) and not on the individual cases she is working on, and the state / problems of the people she is trying to protect.
I hope the producers can bring some new writers on board and continue to make this a great series, while shaking things up a bit and trying new plot threads.
For example, instead of Mary and Marshall always being in Albuerquerque (I probably mis-spelled that)….have them fly all over the U.S., being in different states, with different shot locations, working on separate cases sometimes, with multiple plot threads. Some episodes I would leave un-solved, or unsolvable…because that is reality in law enforcement. Have a few “cold cases” that aren’t resolved until the end of the season, for example.
Can’t wait for season 3 in summer 2010! This show remains one of the best on tv.

unlike the previous rater who is complaining about the price of the item (if the price bothers you that bad….DON’T BUY IT!), that has nothing to do with the quality of the show. this is a great show! I particularly enjoy seeing a strong female lead who is slowly learning that she has to be vunerable at some point, that she can’t be everything to everyone. Watching Mary evolve into a better person and woman is one of the more compelling parts to this show. and the chemistry among the actors is amazing. I can’t wait for this to be released to add to my library.

‘In Plain Sight’, Season 2, is as captivating and fun as Season 1. Mary McCormack continues to be the tough, sarcastic U.S. Marshall, advocating for her clients in Witness Protection. She still has her on and off romance with her hunky Dominican ball player. There’s a surprise in this arena for all you fans. She has a bit of post-traumatic stress disorder from the last episode of season one when she was held hostage by drug thieves connected to her screw-up sister, Brandy. Brandy is still a mess but she is at least dating a decent guy she met at A.A. when she went to a meeting pretending to be her mother. Mom is in rehab but I wouldn’t place any bets on how long that will last. There is a new office administrator and she and Mary are at each other’s throats. The boss and the office administrator are getting on VERY well. Oh, by the way, Mary’s house is still torn up and the feds don’t seem in a rush to fix it up. From time to time people wonder where Brandy stashed the drugs. If you watched Season 1, you know what happened.
The episodes are as fun and as exciting as always and this is one of the better shows on TV this season. I highly recommend it.
