Rating:
This is a 3 disk/event set.
It is a tournament for the middleweight division, which is the 205 weight class and roughly analogous to UFC light heavyweight division.
1st disk the first half of the event is boring, the 2nd half is pretty good. These are all tournament fights.
2nd disk is great, with only 1 boring fight in the middle. A mix of tournament fights and some non-tournament fights.
3rd disk is also great with a couple of so-so fights in the middle, but the really great fights elsewhere make up for it. Again a mix of tournament fights and single fights. I should say 2 fighters fight twice during this event as it’s the end of the tournament. There is a double main event with the winner of the tournament being decided and Cro-Cop vs. Fedor for the Heavyweight belt.
Now a word of warning, as this is a tournament the fighters are trying to not get injured so they can move on to the next round. Thus they fight very conservatively. They’d rather lay and pray and get a judges decision then risk breaking their hand punching a guy out (or some other injury). I was a bit disappointed in some bigger names didn’t do very well in the tournament, including one of those on the cover. Also the fighters entrances are cut off. They go from tale of the tape to the fighters in the ring being called in for the stare down.
Still, I’d give it a thumbs up and recommend it. The good definitely outweighs the bad on here.
