When I first saw this DVD, I had not had a golf lesson. This was a great first lesson for me. I had a friend with a 10 handicap, and he was able to use some of the helpful hints in the DVD also.
I also purchased the book, and I highly recommend it because it contains much more detail than the DVD. However, the DVD is helpful without the book.
After viewing this DVD and Jim McClean’s “The 8-Step Swing”, I had a formal lesson. I feel that I got a lot more out of the formal lesson than I would have without watching this DVD and reading the “Golf for Dummies” book.

Very good basic information. I would have liked more on pitching and chipping. Would also have liked to have information of when to choose which club. It did not go into club selection for different plays at all.

This video is concise and to the point. Gary has some great tips on how to correct most common swing problems as well as some great drills to develop good swing mechanics. He shows you how to hit the long ball. I was entertained. Unfortunately, I still stink at golf.

Gary does a good job, spicing up sound advice with good humour. He breaks up his tips into sections on stance, swing, putting, short game and common faults. It cured my swing in one viewing.
A vastly entertaining introduction to the game of golf.
Surprisingly, Gary looks younger in the DVD than in his earlier book. Must be the good life out on the fairway.
