“Dig deeper into the world of Venture with Season 3, a rich tapestry of past and present, cause and effect, unitards and bodystockings. Witness the genesis of villainous personae, the clash of sporadically opposing forces, and the birth of debilitating neuroses in this, the sturmiest, most drangful season yet. ”

After seeing the preceding seasons I was bitterly disappointed by Season 3. It relies more on crude humour(spoken and animated)and expletives than its predecessors, and is consequently nowhere near as hilarious.
Not as much care and detail has been put into the animation, and to be honest, it looks terrible.
I urge you strongly to purchase seasons 1 & 2, which I have seen probably 3 times over each, and not waste your money on season 3

Venture Bros. on Adult Swim has always been a great spoof on the original Jonny Quest series. The third season continues with cameo shots of Jonny thirty years on. Questions will be answered on this season : but the one of who was Girlfriend before she met the Monarch and The Phantom Limb . One would think Hajii but he was in a cameo with an older Jonny . Season Four could be aired on Adult Swim this year instead of next.

This silly spoof of 60s animated action shows like Jonny Quest is spot on in both the heroes, the depiction of hapless kids and the evil villains. A little goes a long way when it comes to spoofs, but individual episodes are consistently funny and the terrific score by JG Thirwell is rightly celebrated with a bonus CD. The BluRay looks good, but costing $15 more than the regular DVD version at $30 makes it hard to justify unless you’re a fanatic. Visit me at michaelgiltz dot com.

This is my favorite animated show and I loved this 3rd season when aired on TV as much as I loved the first two seasons. BUT PLEASE STOP CENSORING THE DVD SETS!

The third season of what is one of my favorite shows, animated or live action, has truly let me down. The plot drags on from beginning to end, and even though it has it’s funny parts, they didn’t lighten the disappointment i felt after watching every episode. Honestly i can’t suggest it to anyone considering i just want to forget it exists in the first place; which is mainly because the first two seasons were so good, but the fact remains the same.
