Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
|
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

So far so good….The TV arrived on time and in good condition. You can’t beat the price and it has a better picture than my 32″ Vizio that I paid $100 more for…Great Value!! I’m very happy with it.

Just bought this at Amazon for $329 plus shipping! Unbeatable bargain. We’re limited to 32 inch TV because of our entertainment center cabinet space. This replaces an older set and loved the light weight and multitude of jacks. After 2 weeks of use, we are very happy. Picture quality is very good and liked the adjustments for choosing the kind of fill frame and cropping desired. The remote control seems a bit minimal, but since we are using with a cable co. top box and that remote, we won’t be using the factory remote. Shipping and packaging was great, the instructions were clear, and the set tuned itself to all available digital channels from our cable.

Just got my tv today. Hooked it up and plugged it in. It works fine and quality is good. For a decent price this TV does the job like any other name brands and HDTV.

Best feature is the price. Picture and sound is great. Perfect bedroom TV. The only problem is that regular Dish Network remotes do not work with this TV (for power & sound). You need to use 2 remotes whenever watching TV. Bad engineering and planning by someone. I hooked up a Phillips Soundbar DVD player to the Sylvania — great watching movies in the bedroom now.
