It’s not 42+ inches but it’s perfect for our needs. Great picture and, of course, easy operation. We have it on mounted on the wall in a bedroom used for a bedridden person. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I wanted a new flat screen for my bedroom – I have a Samsung HD in my livingroom and love it so I went with this one – it is great! The picture is sharp and it is just the right size for a bedroom. Started loving it as soon as I hooked it up!

I purchased this TV because it has an on/off switch. We set our TV to go off at 1am and on at 6:45am. After installing it, we discovered that when using the TV connected to an HD receiver, it goes off at the proper time and comes on at the proper time, except that all you get is snow on the picture and need to use the TV remote to change the source back to HDMI/DVI. When I contacted Samsung they said the on/off switch does not work with HDMI/DVI. They make no apology and just say that is the way the set is designed. Having said that, the picture is great in HD. If you just want HDTV and don’t care about the on/off switch, this is a fine set at a reasonable price. However, if you do rely on the on/off timers as we do, and on the manufacturer’s design integrity, you’d best look at other brands.
