  • The Optoma EP770 may be just the multimedia projector you need for your entertainment room, your next business presentation or perhaps both. At its heart is a single chip 0.7-inch DLP engine, which creates sharp, detailed images. The projector puts out 3,000 lumens of brightness and can focus an image at distances between four and 40 feet.

    Screen Size
    Projects an image up
    to 20 feet in size
    Image Processing
The 3,000 lumens are delivered by a 220-watt UHP lamp that’s rated to last for 3,000 hours in economy mode, 2,000 hours in standard mode. It has a 2000:1 contrast ratio–the difference in brightness between its darkest and brightest pixels–which is pretty much par for other DLP projectors in its price class. It features advanced digital keystone correction and full screen image re-scaling.

    PC, Macintosh, and HDTV Compatible
The Optoma EP770 is a true XGA display (1024 x 768 addressable pixels) compatible with both PC and Macintosh graphics cards. It can also display SXGA images through compression.

    EP770 ports
It supports 720p and 1080i HDTV sources, too, through a HDCP compliant DVI-D port. While it doesn’t support HDMI connections out of the box, it can be done through a separately sold adapter. It also supports lower-resolution sources, such as 480i/p and 576i/p, as well as analog NTSC, PAL, and SECAM sources through S-video and composite video ports. There’s also a VGA loop-through port, which would allow you to see the signal simultaneously on another screen.

    Other Features
It comes with a full-function remote control, multilingual on-screen display menu, a user-friendly control panel, and adjustable-speed cooling fan. It measures 10.4-by-4.11-by-9.3 inches and weighs just 5.3 pounds.

    What’s in the Box
Projector with lens cap, power cord (1.8m), VGA cable (1.8m), composite video cable (2m), remote control, 2 AA-size batteries, carrying case, SCART RGB/S-Video adaptor, user’s guide, quick-start guide, warranty card.
