Straight out of the box, the images projected by this projector when connected to my Dell Precision M4300 laptop closely matched images on my well-calibrated, highly accurate Samsung Syncmaster XL20 monitor connected to my Dell Precision T5400 workstation. This is precisely what I hoped this projector would deliver. I did get a message that the projector was overheating after running it on high for about an hour, but the lower brightness setting was more than adequate even in a not-so-dark room. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with this projector, which is my first digital projector.

Pros: This projector is a very good choice for home entertainment as well as work in an office or in the lab [my case]. Native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution in wide screen makes it useful for most laptops and desktop computers.
It is very bright even when operated in economy mode [3000 lumen]. The self adjusting feature is very good, like for instance the auto keystone. The menu is easy to navigate, and efficient. The lamp is good, and doesn’t heat up too much. The projector is quiet, and doesn’t get too hot while operating. The cover lid for the lamp is a good extra. The machine is very light and very easy to carry with the provided bag.
The projector, once turned off after use, does NOT require to wait for the fan to stop running.
Cons: The VGA cable is rather short but can be replaced with a 10ft super-VGA shielded video cable for about $20.
Other Thoughts: In essence, a must buy! Clear, bright and sharp images/videos at a fair price.

I was very satisfied with the projector, especially the small and light dimensions, the brightness and quality of the picture it puts out and how it has the instant power shut off. However, I would have wished the automatic hand control was equipped with a laser pointer.
