Our “stunningly accurate” DV62si bookshelf speakers have received numerous “BEST BUY” ratings from a leading “Consumer Buyer’s Guide” magazine. Their long-throw 6 1/2″ poly/graphite woofers deliver tight, accurate extended bass. Their patented “Venturi” vents (found on the rear of the DV62si) assist in extended low frequency performance. Custom-designed poly dome tweeters and unique front cabinet angles enable minimal distortion resulting in clear mid and high frequencies. BIC DV62si speakers are ideal for use with ALL surround and music formats. They can be used as mains speakers, a front or rear center, and as surrounds

To fully enjoy a surround sound soundtrack, listeners need a topnotch center channel speaker, and this BIC America two-way model more than qualifies. Described as “Hands down the best-sounding center speaker I’ve ever heard” by a reviewer at Home Theater Magazine, the DV-62CLRS boasts a combination of state-of-the-art component circuitry, three high-quality drivers, dual vents, and a unique crossover design to produce extremely lifelike sound and imaging. The speaker is built around two 6-inch polypropylene/graphite woofers and a 0.75-inch poly dome tweeter, which team to produce an extremely wide (for a center speaker) 38 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. As a result, dialogue sounds rich and fluid, giving your DVD soundtracks added depth. Additional specs include a sensitivity rating of 90 dB, a 3.5 kHz crossover, and 8-ohm impedance.

The DV-62CLRS is compatible with a variety of amps, with a recommended power rating of 10 to 175 watts per channel. Listeners will also appreciate the speaker’s attractive design, which features a relatively slim profile and a black laminate finish. For surround applications, the speakers perform particularly well when matched with other BIC America models, which are tonally matched to deliver a balanced audio profile. The company recommends using its DV84 tower speakers for the front channels, a pair of DV62si bookshelf speakers for the rear channels, and the V1215 subwoofer for top-level bass performance. All the speakers in the DV line are magnetically shielded to prevent video interference when located near a TV or monitor.

The speaker measures 20 by 7.65 by 10 inches (W x H x D) and carries a generous seven-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

After many hours on the internet I came across a speaker I had not seen or heard of in years. Yes the B.I.C. line of speakers. I knew that years ago, after hearing these, I was really impressed with them. So after a little research I decided to give them a try. I got the center channel and two of the bookself speakers, which were to replace a set of Bose speakers. When these speakers can in I was impressed by the quality of them at this price range. I connected the speakers up to my system (Rotel Processor and Parasond Amp). At first I was a little disapointed with the sound but I knew that they needed to burn in for a while. I left my system playing for three or four days non stop and the speakers started to come to life. I have had over the years a few diffrent speaks ( Ohms, Jbl, Cerwin Vega, DCM, and the way overrated Bose) I belive these to be the best sounding of them all. I will soon buy two more DV-62CLRS and use them for my front spearkers and delegate the DV-62SI’s to the rear for surround sound. I have to say that for the price you will be hard pressed to find better sounding speakers. Heck, for double the price even.

It’s easy for anyone to appreciate the quality of sounds which the BIC speakers produce. 10 years ago, I bought my first set and it brought be 10-years of listening enjoyment. Recently, the original center speaker started to sound “tinny” and I knew it was time to get something new. (Hey, after 10 years – I am pleased with the quality and duration.) So, i replaced my 10-year old DV52CLR with a new DV62CLR-S. I am so happy I did. Wow!

Originally, I went looking at local TV store. All they had was Polk Audio for center speakers. As I listned, I could not feel a sense of appreciation for what I heared – it seemed empty. I was anoyed by the $200+ to $400+ prices they were asking.

I did the research and afterwards I though this center speaker for around $100 was an incredible value. (Given the size, range and sound.) I have no idea why more TV / Home Theatre stores are not carrying BIC. BIC quality can certainly compete against what they are carrying and the price will certain attract the people.

Thanks to Amazon for carrying these. Thanks to BIC for making these. Also – i have a Denon AVR 4802 with 7.1 THX and the speakers really help bring it to live.

Simply put, this speaker cannot be beat for value. At about $100 you will get a great sounding and decent looking center channel speaker that will not disappoint. Very crisp, especially with movie dialogue and this speaker will take volume levels that will astound you. The sound quality is comparable to speakers in the $400 – $600 price range and will absolutely blow away any speaker in a box center guaranteed. This speaker also seems to blend well with mid to low sensitive surround speakers. (86-88 db) Did I say it only costs about $100 with free shipping ? If you are on the fence about starting a surround sound system you cannot go wrong at this price point. Only you will know how little you paid for great sound!

Bic has produced a speaker with quality sound. At last all the conversations that were hard to understand are crystal clear. The range of the speaker is amazing for the size. I highly recommend the Bic speaker!
