This movie exemplifies the fear of black planet. lol This was a surprisingly good movie, mostly, because it was made at a time that movies like this shouldnt have went as far against the grain as allowed. This is a movie about America looking good in the publics eye, in this case it was within the realm of a government agency, I think it was the C.I.A, don’t really remember, but, neway, its the ol’ grand routine of promoting a black man to meet some status requirement. But, this A.A soon became a stab in the back to its promoters as the black man used his C.I.A training to incorporate recruited urbanites as weapons against the government. As the last 20 minutes of the movie was nothing more than urban guerrilla warfare……………..a good movie in what it represented for its time, just as “Sweet backs bad ass song” was. highly reccomend

A true let-down. The book is so inspirational, and the movie falls short. It still is sort of a fun movie to watch, but rent it or buy a bootleg (the 43rd Chamber in NYC has very good copies). When you see the cover of the video you will already know that they got it all wrong. Plus whats up with the insanely high price. END

AFTER HEARING ABOUT THE BOOK FROM SEVERAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS, I RUSHED OUT TO BY IT, THANK GOODNESS I GOT THE LAST COPY IN THE STORE. I READ THE BOOK IN ONE DAY AND COULD’NT PUT IT DOWN. WE MUST LOOK AT THE REAL WORLD AND TAKE NOTE OF HOW WE ARE LIVING. IN OUR LIFETIME WE SHOULD LOOK AT THE IMOPORTANT THINGS THAT WILL MAKE US RICH IN KOWLEDGE AND NOT IN MATERIAL THINGS, THAT ARE SHORT LIVED. ONCE YOU ATTAIN KNOWLEDGE NO ONE CAN TAKE IT AWAY. UNDERSTAND HOW WE ARE BEING USED AND MANIPULATED. FOR SO LONG OUR EDUCATION HAS BEEN SUPRESSED, BECAUSE WE WERE NEVER ABLE TO GO TO QUALITY SCHOOLS AND LEARN ABOUT OUR HERITAGE. TO SURVIVE IN THIS DAY AND AGE WE MUST BE EDUCATED AND TRULY UNDERSTAND THE SOCIETY WE LIVE IN AND OFFER POSITIVE ROLE MODELS FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. GREAT BOOK I RECOMMEND IT TO ALL!!!! CAN’T WAIT TO PURCHASE THE DVD.

It is time to really re-evaluate our (Black Peoples) situation. This movie was and is an expression of all those thoughts that most African American and other oppressed people feel. We need to be free! We now have good jobs, we now have nice things, but only if you shut your mouth and keep your head bowed. This movie (although the inserted commentary tries to withhold the true theme of the movie) is a must see for all those who wish to see what it will be like when we ( the People) rebel. It shows a simple glimpse of what would need to be done for change. Not for a sort of a change , not for a piece of the pie, but for freedom. And that is cause for a revolution. This movie has been suppressed to long, tell a friend to get this movie.

I cannot cheapen the message of this film with a brief review, however, I will say that all members of the Afrikan Diaspora-UNCLE TOMS AND TOMASINAS INCLUDED, should see this film at least once.
